suddenly thought about what my professor mentioned on college students. He said that we are the most stressed group of people due to: poor eating habits (like popcorn for dinner), maintaining good grades while fighting the social urge to make these the best years of your life (parties, extra curricular activities) —because we are constantly told these will be the best years of our lives, knowing that you are falling into debt the longer you stay (for those with loans), & some juggling school + job+ (_______)+(_______).
So fucking true… but I’m enjoying every minute of it.
Also, I’d like to point out that college is not for everyone and that is okay. Some of the most successful people never went to college. So in no way do I feel superior than those who chose a different path or are just taking a while to figure things out OR just can’t at the time. HELL, I’m still trying to figure things out. In addition, it is sad when someone belittles another for the college of their choosing… I know people who are far more intellectually inclined and don’t go to school than some college chumps attending prestigious universities. No offense to anyone, but I just heard something ridiculous about someones parents thinking their child is better and smarter than anyone who doesn’t go to an important college. NOT ALWAYS TRUE.
